March 3 Conference on Animal Exploitation at Bucknell University [AUN]

> > > > ?space?–
A conference on the problem of animal exploitation will be held under the auspices of Bucknell University’s Humanities Center on Saturday, March 3, 2018. The special focus of this conference is a strictly „abolitionist“ perspective devoted to the ideal of the complete abolition (rather than the mere regulation) of practices that treat nonhuman animals as resources for the satisfaction of human needs and desires. The nature and commitments of this perspective will be presented and discussed by an influential group of individuals in the fields of law, philosophy, and art. Speakers include Professors Gary L. Francione and Anna Charlton of Rutgers Law School, Professors Sherry Colb and Michael Dorf of Cornell Law School, Professor Gary Steiner of Bucknell University, and the renowned visual artist Sue Coe. Thanks very much for your help with this!
All the best,
